The Finsbury & Clerkenwell Volunteers help isolated older people in South Islington. The volunteers do befriending visits, run a twice weekly lunch club, telephone counselling, assisted shopping, outings and help with practical tasks. The work is rewarding and can provide valuable experience for those wanting to pursue opportunities in care or community work.

We are looking for people who can give an hour or two per week to help with our activities. Good listening skills, reliability and an empathetic attitude are really all that is required.
